OUR BELIEFS

 

  1. The scriptures of the Bible are verbally inspired of God. 2 Timothy 3:15-17

  • There is one true God, existing in three persons, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit.  Matthew 28:19

  • The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God. Hebrews 1:1-3

  • All mankind is fallen and inherently sinful. Romans 5:12-19

  • God offers salvation for all who will come to Him by faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-10*

  • There are two Scriptural ordinances for the Church: Water Baptism-Mark 16:16 & Holy Communion-1Cor. 11:26

  • All believers are entitled to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit subsequent to salvation. Acts 1:4,8*

  • The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in tongues. Acts 2:4

  • Sanctification begins at salvation and continues throughout a believer's life by a progressive separation from evil and sinful behavior. Romans 12:1-2

  • The church exists to evangelize the world-Matthew 28:19-20; worship God-1 Cor. 12:13; & build up the saints in the image of God's son. Ephesians 4:11-16

  • Involvement in ministry in response to a divine call is ordained in Scripture. Mark 16:15-20

  • Divine healing from sickness is provided in the atoning work of Christ's death. Isaiah 53:4-5*

  • The promise of the Lord's soon return to earth is the believer's "blessed hope". Titus 2:13*

  • After Christ's return, He will reign on earth 1000 years. Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-6

  • There will be a final judgment in which men will be judged for how they lived. Revelation 20:11-15

  • The Lord will provide a new heaven and earth as the eternal home of His faithful. Revelation 21-22
